A popular news site online deleted a hundred and one comments made against Bro. Eli Soriano recently after many months of posting. The deletion was coupled with a warning.

The comments made by one Rizalino L. Arrabis of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) against Bro. Eli were all personal attacks which were deleted by the moderators of NowPublic.com.

The comments were made in response to two articles calling for Eraño Manalo to come out and debate with Bro. Eli or to defend his teachings that are being questioned.

The two articles posted in NowPublic.com were titled “INC Shouts Where is Sir Manalo?” and “INC Still Shouts Where is Sir Manalo? The first one was penned by worm wood, an extension staff writer of ADD Publications on December 30, 2007 with 3,619 views and 110 comments. The second, also penned by worm wood on January 19, 2008, had 81 comments.

Because of the total cutting out of Arrabis` comments, the remaining comments now total 33 and 30 respectively.

Arrabis was warned by Rob Walker of his behavior. Said Rob, “Rizalino, you`re only getting one warning here - cut it out with turning people`s names into swears. Your behaviour is in clear violation of our terms of service.” Afterwards, not even one of Arrabis` hundred comments were to be found.

This is a rather fortunate turn of events for Bro. Eli. Most sites are unfriendly and have tended to side with those at the end of the line. In OhMyNews International, for example, Arrabis followed Jane Abao`s article on Bro. Eli and posted several comments, also accusing Ms. Abao as covering for a criminal. In the next article that followed, Ms. Abao`s article was untouched by the editors and was not considered a regular submission.

In NewsVine where Ms. Abao seeded the article on Shroud of Tourin (291 comments), the anti-spam group fiercely fought with the Ang Dating Daan people. One was able to pick up a post of ABS-CBN and understood it as referring to Bro. Eli as criminal. The writer had to close the forum as those defending Soriano were referred to as sockpuppets and were invariably accused of infringing Terms of Service (TOS).

It is to be recalled that this ABS-CBN article was one contested by the Ang Dating Daan members because it served more as an advertisement against Soriano rather than one of news. The name of the so-called complainant, Daniel Veridiano , was even twisted to Pedriano, and the piece stayed on for more than a year with only the date changing. This was used as an argument with Wikipedia which removed ABS-CBN Interactive as a discredited source. After that, ABS-CBN Interactive changed its name to ABS-CBN Online.

After this was explained to Newsvine, Ms. Abao closed the forum as it was getting to be an uncontrolled fight between Catholics and the Ang Dating Daan – and not what Bro. Soriano said about the shroud.

Arrabis fought the ADD members too in Newsvine where he said that his idea in fighting the Ang Dating Daan people was to demolish and neutralize the detractors. However, all he wrote were invectives against Bro. Soriano and sometimes against Bro. Daniel Razon. His style consisted of twisting everything he can think of – beginning with his opponent`s name. Then he would wrap it up with lies like he knew personally his opponent. He would finish it off with lavish praise for the Iglesia ni Cristo like it is heaven on earth.

If NowPublic.com has seen fit to punish Rizalino L. Arrabis for his behavior, perhaps it is time he will realize that his group is only good for lying and lies. – ADD Publications Words by .
