I‘m devastatingly weary.
Head is tilted stiffly in the skies,
Panting under heaven’s eyes,
My cursed labor in blunt disguise.
My art.
My songs.
What of good use are they for?
They float as a meaningless weed in the abyss of nothingness.
One by one they withered.
I have seen my own Eden crashed and trampled by Nero’s unfeigned insanity.
Ambitions?
All I have are but remnants of a fallen empire.
I flew in bewilderment.
I sunk in melancholy.
I graciously dance in perfect despair.
And oh that my head yearns for a green pasture where I can lay myself down.
I have watched my glorious past and my vague present being ruthlessly devoured inside the shadows of ambiguity.
And oh that life’s injustice flagellates my hopes into slow death.
For a dismal soul, this world has nothing better to offer.
I am a man of vision.
I have crossed the oceans.
I have walked in nations.
I see changes coming even from afar,
Destruction from within, damnation from without, victory from above.
I will let the upcoming glory of my future to justify the ends of all my labors and toils.
And oh that my heart leaps in faith;
And until then where death loses its sting and all evil’s domain in men dethroned,
This worthless servant who had only done his duty would finally sought rest
In the right hand of destiny’s author.
